Here, Hansaji has broken the myth regarding kapalbhati, which is a well-known breathing exercise. But in reality, Kapalbhati is an exercise that removes toxins from the face and throat area.

 

Here is how you can do it:
 

  • To begin, sit comfortably with your spine straight and your legs folded. Take 2-3 deep breaths to focus your mind. 
  • Now, inhale and draw air through your nostrils. C
  • lose your lips and tuck your tongue against the roof of your mouth (your palate).
  • Avoid using your stomach muscles; instead, use only your nostrils to breathe.

 

Kapalbhati should not be done by taking deep breaths through your stomach; rather, it should only be done through your nostrils. This includes the whole face and throat area.

 

This posture can be done whenever you are out in the pollution or if you have met someone who has a cold and cough and you feel you are going to get infected — this is a highly effective natural remedy for sinus infection
